Tom Selleck may get his wish with a ‘Blue Bloods’ spinoff

The future of “Blue Bloods” doesn’t look as blue.

During a presentation at Paramount’s annual stockholders meeting Tuesday, Paramount Global co-CEO Brian Robbins hinted that a new “Blue Bloods” series is in the works. 

“In TV, new franchise extensions are coming for ‘Dexter,’ ‘Billions,’ and ‘Blue Bloods,’ ” Robbins said. 

Spinoffs have already been announced for “Billions” (“Millions”) and “Dexter,” (“Dexter: Origins”) but an official “Blue Bloods” spinoff has not been announced.

The show is set to end in the fall with Season 14. It premiered in 2010, and starred Selleck, 79, as New York City Police Commissioner and family patriarch Frank Reagan.

Selleck has been vocal about his desire for the show to continue.
