The Hollywood star Tom Selleck of Magnum P.I. fame is currently in New York City filming the final eight episodes of his crime drama Blue Bloods, which has been airing on CBS since 2010.
Though CBS has now cancelled the beloved show, Selleck is begging executives to reconsider, as he feels that the show is still just as popular as ever.
Selleck Sounds Off
“I’m not looking at it as ‘winding down,’” Selleck, 79, told Yahoo News. “I prefer to be optimistic.
“Blue Bloods into our 14th season is the third-highest scripted show in all of broadcast,” he continued. “We’re winning our night. We’re performing on Paramount+. So I’m not looking at it as winding down. I’m looking at it as a show that is still rather wildly successful and CBS is gonna come to their senses.”
